The earliest known accounting practices can be traced to Mesopotamia. (We go back 55 plus years) In Mesopotamia, clay tablets were used to record transactions. In Egypt, papyrus scrolls were used. (In Melville NY, we generally stick to computers and cloud-based solutions. But you may find an Abacus.)
